Welcome to our winter newsletter 2020!
 
The amalgamation of Pulver Cooper and Blackley with Barker Ryan Stewart is now complete and both companies are now working under the Barker Ryan Stewart banner. We have taken the best systems from both companies and are now sharing all our resources across the board to strengthen our capabilities, and most importantly enable us to provide the best possible service to you.
 
As a result of the amalgamation and our increased workload, we would like to announce that Troy Sumner is now the Survey Manager across the group and Scott Brisbin has become the Design Manager of our civil and infrastructure team. This has further strengthened our design leadership team with Glenn Jameson, David England, Anthony Scott and Chris Borg also working in important design leadership roles.     
 
We always enjoy working with you on your projects and get a real kick out of seeing them successfully delivered. In this newsletter we feature four projects, the first one being Eastern Creek Quarter where we were engaged by Frasers Property to act as the Principal Certifying Authority for the subdivision works and the TfNSW Project Verifier for the intersection works associated with the development.
 
Working closely with the Deicorp consulting team, we are providing our traffic engineering, Crime Prevention through Environmental Design and Construction Management Plan services in support of the DA submission for their Polish Club redevelopment and the construction of 91 residential apartments at Ashfield.
 
We are proud to have worked on numerous primary, secondary and tertiary education projects. Our latest example is the Tertiary Education Centre in Muswellbrook which forms part of the University of Newcastle’s Upper Hunter Precinct. We were engaged by Muswellbrook Council to provide an independent planning assessment of the DA.  
 
Our fourth featured project is the TfNSW Northern Distributer Road Roundabout in Orange. Having been engaged by Orange City Council, we have completed the survey work and are now in the design stage of the roundabout, lead-in roads and associated works. This project is another example of our TfNSW survey and design capabilities, and we are enjoying working with the officers of Orange City Council in the delivery of this project.

From 1 July 2020 onward, Pulver Cooper & Blackley (PCB) has been rebranded as Barker Ryan Stewart and both teams have been fully integrated to form one.
 
Now forming part of Barker Ryan Stewart, the PCB team has also moved from their existing East Maitland office into our Beresfield office.

Why have we decided to rebrand?

Over the past eight months, both Barker Ryan Stewart and PCB have been operating independently but working collaboratively to significantly increase the capacity and capabilities of both companies. 
 
We have decided that taking the best efficiencies from each company and amalgamating these processes will help improve our overall service offerings to you.
 
Aside from the rebranding of PCB, merging the company with Barker Ryan Stewart will help to provide a wider range of services and faster turnaround times for our clients.
 
We are excited to be able to build upon PCB’s renowned history and reputation and through the collaboration of our combined team, we can continue to successfully deliver your projects.

Barker Ryan Stewart Appoints New Leadership Positions

 
Barker Ryan Stewart is pleased to announce the promotion of some of our talented team members into leadership positions.  

We would like to announce that Scott Brisbin has become our Design Manager, and Troy Sumner has become our Survey Manager.

We would also like to recognise Glenn Jameson (Senior Associate and Principal Engineer), David England (Senior Civil Engineer and Registered Surveyor), Anthony Scott (Associate and Hunter Manager) and Chris Borg (Associate and South East Queensland Manager) who form an integral part of our engineering leadership team.

We would like to congratulate these team members on their well-deserved leadership positions and we look forward to seeing their roles continue to develop within the company. READ MORE

We currently have three civil engineering positions available in our Sydney, Hunter and South East Queensland offices, to inspect civil engineering works on infrastructure and subdivision projects that we are involved in. The South East Queensland position also requires someone with a design background to form part of our civil and infrastructure design team. 

When you join the Barker Ryan Stewart team you join a group of individuals who share a common set of values and behaviours. We’re large enough to be involved in the great projects but small enough to have excellent communication, an energetic team, and to have fun along the way.
