Nicole Webb

Nicole is an Urban Planner with 20 years’ experience in the planning and development industry within both public and private sectors.

Nicole commenced her planning career in local government where she predominantly worked on development proposals for large master planned communities in the Gold Coast’s northern growth corridor. Most recently, Nicole held senior management positions within State government where she oversaw the delivery of some of the government’s most highly publicised projects relating to land supply and housing diversity across South East Queensland.

Nicole’s private sector experience involves a wide range of projects across Queensland and northern NSW including large and complex greenfield and infill residential development, along with retail, commercial, health care, education, and industrial developments.

Throughout her career, Nicole has developed an in-depth working knowledge of local and State planning legislation and has extensive experience delivering statutory and strategic planning expertise to her clients through high quality planning advice, due diligence and planning reports, negotiating good development outcomes, and overseeing the overall management of complex development applications and diverse project teams. Nicole works closely with her clients to achieve high quality development outcomes for current and future generations to enjoy.

Nicole has been involved in a number of professional boards, committees, and award panels over the years and previously held the position of Assistant Professor at Bond University where she taught subjects relating to sustainability, urban design and urban planning to students across the built environment. Nicole is currently a member of the UDIA Gold Coast Branch Committee, the UDIA Qld Housing Supply and Affordability Committee, and is a 2023 Mentor for Planning Institute of Australia.

As QLD Planning Manager, Nicole is responsible for mentoring and leading our planning team in Queensland and providing expert technical planning advice to secure complex development approvals.

Outside of work, Nicole keeps busy by volunteering at her local rugby league club, renovating her home, is an avid netball player, and enjoys time with family and friends. Nicole is extremely passionate about creating diverse, resilient, and liveable communities.
