With a broad range of development management and planning experience, Ian is responsible for the strategic business planning of Barker Ryan Stewart, which he founded with Glenn and Garry in 2009.
Over the years, Ian has built solid working relationships with numerous Council and State Government departments while working as the project lead for numerous developments throughout New South Wales. His consulting experience includes residential, commercial, industrial, tourism, retail, education and government projects.
As the Principal Planner for numerous large-scale developments throughout NSW, Ian has prepared numerous LEPs and DCPs in various LGAs, regularly acts as an expert witness in the NSW Land and Environment Court and has overseen a number of State Significant Developments.
Ian provides consulting services to a range of Local and State Government authorities, including TfNSW, SINSW, City of Sydney, Parramatta, Newcastle, Blacktown and Randwick Councils.
Ian lives with his family on the Central Coast where weekends are commonly spent at the beach, sharing a meal with family and friends, and enjoying the coastal lifestyle.
