Chris has over 20 years’ experience working as a town planner within both the private and public sectors.
Throughout his career, Chris has gained extensive experience providing strategic development advice, preparing statutory planning advice, briefing, selecting and managing technical consultants, project procurement, budget control and reporting, and community consultation. He is experienced in preparing planning reports, including Statement of Environmental Effects and Environmental Impact Assessments for a range of development and rezoning applications. Chris has been involved in major infrastructure projects, including leading comprehensive land use planning analysis for Liddel Power Station decommissioning and Bayswater transition planning (end-of-life 2032).
Chris has worked on a range of urban development projects including master planned residential subdivisions, land releases, and tourist accommodation, as well as infrastructure projects including water treatment facilities and sewerage treatment plant sites. Within the public sector, Chris has experience assessing, preparing and releasing Local Environmental Plans, preparing and adopting voluntary planning agreements and s94 contribution plans, and providing project management, environmental planning and town planning input into a range of development and rezoning applications.
With both government and private sector experience, Chris is well placed to lead with strong capabilities in strategic land use planning, development and environmental assessment, planning proposals and rezonings, development control plan preparation and assessment, development applications, project management, heritage assessment, community engagement, and public participation.
As Planning Manager, Chris is responsible for mentoring and leading the planning team, coordinating projects and tenders, and providing expert technical advice.
