Wingham Road, Wingham

Surveying

Barker Ryan Stewart was engaged by the MidCoast Council for the provision of surveying, engineering investigation, and design services to assist with the rehabilitation of two nominated sections of Wingham Road.

The surveyed length of 1622 Wingham Road was approximately 1.3km together with an intersection and associated side road. Similarly, the surveyed length of 1623 Wingham Road was approximately 1.8km together with the four intersections and associated side roads.

The survey brief included a full detail survey of the road reserve, intersections, and adjoining side roads. This involved the survey of the existing pavement, drainage structures and networks, water and sewage mains, and the electronic location of underground services.

Whilst undertaking the control traverse, all cadastral reference marks were located within the road reserve, and a plan of survey information was prepared. The detail and cadastral survey components enabled the preparation of a full 3D model with cadastral boundaries, which will form the basis for our inhouse engineering design.

The full scope of services provided include:

  • Detail survey
  • Utility location
  • Cadastral survey
  • Concept and detail design
