The Cosmopolitan, Parramatta

Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning

The Cosmopolitan, Parramatta

Barker Ryan Stewart was contracted for Traffic Engineering, Construction Environmental Management Plan and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design services for a mixed-use development in Parramatta. The Cosmopolitan, by Deicorp, will deliver 608 apartments and three levels of commercial and retail space in Parramatta’s CBD. The project is part of a three-project strategy by Deicorp to deliver over 1200 apartments to Parramatta, Crows Nest, and Melrose Park.

The Cosmopolitan, designed by Turner Studio, will cost $560 million and encompasses two 45 level towers atop three levels, or podiums, named Gully Forest – a space which features a courtyard garden and outdoor kitchen, as well as the retail, hospitality, and commercial façades.

The site on Hassell Street will be located beside a new Macquarie Street Light Rail Station and within walking distance to Parramatta Station. The project will also consist of rooftop gardens and overlook the nearby Robin Thomas Reserve, Queens Wharf Park, and Parramatta River.
