Infrastructure and Civil Engineering

Barker Ryan Stewart was engaged by Penrith City Council for the provision of civil engineering design services associated with the Richmond Road and Cooper Street intersection upgrade.

Penrith City Council required the RMS intersection to be upgraded to a seagull island treatment with a median island stop treatment located in Cooper Street. The design issued by Barker Ryan Stewart included the provision of turning paths suitable for buses, pedestrian restrictions, and extended acceleration and deceleration lanes.

The full scope of services provided include:

  • Meetings with Council
  • Concept design detailing kerb geometry
  • Detailed design of the RMS intersection (including drainage and signage)
  • Design Report
  • Detailed cost estimate
