Barker Ryan Stewart was engaged by Penrith City Council for the provision of civil engineering design services associated with the Richmond Road and Cooper Street intersection upgrade.
Penrith City Council required the RMS intersection to be upgraded to a seagull island treatment with a median island stop treatment located in Cooper Street. The design issued by Barker Ryan Stewart included the provision of turning paths suitable for buses, pedestrian restrictions, and extended acceleration and deceleration lanes.
