The Minto urban renewal project involves the staged redevelopment of approximately 1,200 properties in the Minto public housing area in Sydney’s South West. Once the redevelopment of Minto is complete, there will be approximately 360 public housing homes (including seniors living units), and approximately 850 private homes.
The Minto urban renewal project has a strong focus on sustainability, as the houses have been designed to enhance water conservation and energy efficiency through rainwater reuse and low energy appliances.
Barker Ryan Stewart was engaged by Urban Growth NSW c/- Mott MacDonald to provide private certification services through the provision of Construction Certificates (now Subdivision Works Certificates) for stages 10-13 of the development.
