The Lake Macquarie Transport Interchange is a major road improvement to connect the areas of Glendale and Cardiff.
The project includes the installation of over 2km of road, upgrades to intersections, and improving pedestrian, cycling and bus facilities. The aim of the project is to transform this area into a major regional commercial and transport hub.
The upgrade will help transition Glendale into a new employment hub for the Lower Hunter. This will facilitate the potential creation of over 3,800 local jobs, 90 hectares of land for light industrial and commercial development, and the construction of approximately 2,700 new homes.
