Barker Ryan Stewart was engaged by the Singleton Council to provide civil engineering design services, associated with the reconstruction and upgrade works for approximately 1km of Glendonbrook Road.
The design issued by Barker Ryan Stewart included; horizontal and vertical alignment, full depth pavement construction and widening, drainage culvert design and upgrades, guardrail, new kerb and gutter, line-marking and signage. The challenges associated with this project included maintaining works within the tight road corridor and minimising where possible extensive earthworks on large existing batter and rock cuttings.
