The City of Sydney required the services of an independent town planning consultancy to assess the public domain works connecting the Headland of Barangaroo Park, to the existing suburb of Millers Point.
The proposed Development Application (DA) was intended to integrate the future form and accessibility of the Barangaroo Headland Park with the surrounding city street. The proposed outcomes of the DA included strengthening the future pedestrian and cyclist connections along Argyle Street and Towns Place and a general slowing of traffic and additional street tree planting to create a more pleasant environment.
Barker Ryan Stewart provided an independent assessment of the proposed plans and prepared a report for consideration by the consent authority which included the recommended development conditions.
