Saturday, the 14th of March, heralds a pivotal transformation for the M12 Motorway project, with the official opening of the West and Central sections. This milestone reveals a brand-new, high-speed connection between Elizabeth Drive and The Northern Road, establishing a vital direct link to the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport. This opening represents a significant stride toward an integrated transport future for Western Sydney, promising a new era of connectivity for the region.
The completion of the M7/M12 Interchange later this year will be the crowning achievement of the project, creating a motorway-to-motorway, traffic-light-free corridor between the M12 and the Westlink M7, enhancing regional connectivity and affirming our commitment to revolutionising transportation infrastructure.
Our Role
For the past six years, Digitise, powered by BRS, has been at the forefront of this landmark Digital Engineering pilot project, collaborating with Transport for NSW (TfNSW). From spearheading Digital Engineering Management during the intricate design phase to supporting Asset Management and ensuring operational readiness, we have been instrumental in guiding this project from construction through its long-term operations and maintenance.
Digitise has also provided client-side digital engineering management, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between stakeholders. By integrating advanced digital tools and methodologies, we have enhanced the efficiency and accuracy of project execution, paving the way for a more connected and sustainable future.
