Civil Engineer/Designer – Northern Rivers or South East Queensland Office Locations
We currently have a Civil Engineer/Designer position available to assist with growing our design team and to work on our subdivision, development and council road infrastructure projects. The position is available in our Northern Rivers or South East Queensland office locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of civil engineering and infrastructure road designs, specifications, models and supporting documentation.
- Providing designs which are fit for purpose, practical, cost-effective, comply with relevant design and regulatory standards, and comply with WHS and Quality Control requirements.
- Work closely with engineering team members to clarify design and/or documentation issues throughout the design, documentation and construction phases.
- Reviewing the work of draftspersons designs, information, drawings and documentation.
- Provide technical advice to management, staff and clients
About you:
- Certificate III in Drafting Trades, Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or University Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Australia, or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge and experience with 12d and/or Civil 3D design package.
- Good working knowledge and experience with DRAINS and MUSIC design packagesStrong road and infrastructure design skills.

- Gain experience with the support of senior staff in DA’s, rezonings, CPTED’s and Social Impact Assessments, to name a few
- Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team of planners, engineers and surveyors.
- Offer informed technical advice to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing quotations and tender submissions, contributing to business development.
- Stay current with relevant planning legislation, policies, and regulations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections to inform planning decisions and monitor project progress.
