The IMS Manual comprises policies and procedures that provide our employees and subcontractors with a clear understanding of the requirements to be complied with, to ensure that our products and services meet all client and best practice requirements, and record forms and instructions, which are used to verify activities and provide evidence that the specified requirements have been met. The IMS Manual also defines the company objectives, structure and the responsibilities and authorities of our people. The Hunter office has recently been named as finalists in the “25th Annual Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards 2017” under the Professional Services category. The Business Excellence Awards have been part of the Hunter for over 20 years and is one of the longest running events in the area. The Hunter team enjoyed a well deserved night out at the Awards to celebrate the finalist achievement. | |
REDUCE SCHOOL TRAFFIC PROGRAM | |
The Walk Ride Share pilot programs have been completed and results have shown it to be a success. Students actively took part in changing their transport habits for the two week period that the pilot program ran for and enjoyed the data collection process to track their changes. WELCOME TO THE TEAM IN 2017 | |
PAUL MCLEAN started working out of the Hunter office in August. He has joined our growing engineering team as a Senior Civil Designer. He has over 36 years’ experience in design and documentation of civil structures. Paul’s expertise lies in land development, road intersections, roundabout design, reticulated sewerage, sewer pumping stations, sewer rising main, watermain geometry and details, carpark geometry design and grading, stormwater, dredging areas and volumes, pavement details and earthworks grading and volumes. JOE MYSON started working out of the Hunter office as a Senior Civil Engineer in September. He joins us from KCE. Joe has over 8 years experience in project engineering and management of civil projects for local government and private developers across NSW and the UK. Joe’s project management experience includes safety management, quality and cost control, procurement services, and coordinating civil construction contractors in the property development and mining sectors. His recent civil engineering experience includes water diversions, drains and dams, subdivision construction, watermain upgrade and access roads. DANIEL RESTUCCIA has recently joined the Sydney certification team as a Development Engineer. Daniel has more than eight years experience as a Development Engineer and Construction Engineer in Local Government, as well as a Civil Site Engineer and Structural Engineer within the private sector. Daniel has excellent experience in most aspects of Land Development, including development assessment and supervision of construction projects, as well as providing certification services and conducting compliance inspections for subdivisions. | |

Barker Ryan Stewart would like to congratulate 90 year old master athlete Heather Lee, for her incredible success at the 16th annual Australian Masters Games in Penguin, Tasmania from the 23rd-26thof October. She won the gold medal in the 90+ age group for the 1500m, 3000m and 5km race walking events. Heather broke her existing world record for the 3000m, clocking a time of 24 minutes and 56 seconds. She also broke the pre-existing world record in the 5km event, with a time of 42 minutes. Due to Heather Lee’s remarkable achievements, she has been selected to be a torch bearer for the Commonwealth Games in 2018. Heather was chosen to walk the Queen’s Baton during the Penrith leg of the relay, and is thrilled about this opportunity, naming it one of her biggest successes to date. READ MORE | |
BRS 2017 Conference Another year, another great conference. We kicked off the conference by running through Barker Ryan Stewart’s strategic plan with a lot of exciting announcements regarding the company structure, new roles and an outline for the plan moving ahead for the next 3 years. Marcus Kroek presented on the day sharing some great insights from his experience as a business coach. The team also enjoyed some team building exercises over the 2 days and were treated to some fine dining at the Bimbadgen Estate, as well as some much deserved down time at The Vintage Spa and Golf Course. | |
BRS Social Event – World Polo Championships Our latest social event was held at the XI FIP World Polo Championships. The BRS team with their partners and families were treated to food and beverages in a private marquee on the international field while watching Chile vs USA and Australia vs Argentina. There were plenty of activities held throughout the day including vaulting, Fashions on the Field and live entertainment. Congratulations to Anthony’s partner Allison who came runner up in Fashions of the Field. After a tough match Argentina defeated Australia 9 – 5.5 to earn their place in Grand Final against Chile. It was the deciding day for the tournament finals which saw Argentina and Chile earn their place in the Grand Final. The following day Argentina won the World Champions. | |
