DIRECTORS NOTE

We are delighted to introduce you to Barker Ryan Stewart’s first seasonal newsletter.

In this and future editions we’ll be looking to showcase some of the feature projects that we are proud to be involved in, provide comments on the latest happenings in our industry, outline the services we provide and introduce you to our team.

ROAD SAFETY AUDITING SERVICES

Barker Ryan Stewart now offers Road Safety Audits at each design stage, including feasibility/concept, preliminary design, detailed design, pre-opening stage audits, and existing roads.

The approach to safety in the past has very often been to not consider risk mitigation measures until the crash situation becomes unacceptable. With Barker Ryan Stewart’s knowledge and experience regarding the circumstances in which crashes occur, it is possible to detect these safety deficiencies at the development stage, and certainly well before the crash risks are realised.

We are accredited auditors in New South Wales and Victoria.

FEATURED PROJECTS
WELCOME TO THE TEAM IN 2017
MEGAN CLARK started at the Central Coast office in January as a Town Planner and brings significant experience as an environmental and town planner across town planning and construction industries.

DARRYL FITZGERALD begun work as a Planning consultant for BRS in January and has over 26-years of local and national government experience working in a range of roles including: planning director, corporate and regulatory services director, management of development services, principal planner, deputy director and planning consultant.

CASEY MILES has taken on the Senior Civil Engineer position in the Sydney Office since January, bringing with him 15 years’ experience. He has been involved in the Project Management of key road and bridge infrastructure projects for large scale commercial and property developers, and the Roads & Maritime Services.

NATHAN ZAREMSKI is a graduate engineer, who graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) in 2015. Nathan joined our Hunter team in January. He has experience in local government and private consulting industries.

ROWAN JONES is our newest member of the Central Coast office and will be assisting with project management and project administration. He studied a Bachelor of Construction Engineering in Italy and is currently completing his Certificate IV in Building and Construction to obtain his Residential Builders License.

2016 BRS Christmas Party

The BRS team spent a fantastic day at the Gosford Races to catch up for Christmas celebrations.There was delicious food and drinks aplenty and of course lots of laughs, with great company and interesting secret Santa gifts which were exchanged. The afternoon ended with big smiles and was a great way to finish up a great year. Follow our Facebook page to see more on BRS social gatherings or company updates. 

Oz Harvest Food Drive

In the last few months of 2016 the BRS offices collected non-perishable goods for the Oz Harvest charity. The food was picked up and used to make hampers for those less fortunate during the Christmas season. All up we gathered a whopping 160kgs of goods! BRS would like to send out a big thank you to all that took part, you have truly made a big difference to those in need. To find out more about the organisations we support check out our website.
