A discussion paper has been created, suggesting changes to make the approvals process easier for the building of dual occupancies, manor homes, town houses and terraces if they meet set design and building standards.
The changes would allow routine applications for one and two storey dual occupancies, manor homes townhouses and terraces that comply with set rules to be fast tracked. This will cut more than 50 days out of the approval process and reduce costs to homeowners.
The NSW Government invites the greater public and those in the construction industry to provide feedback on the proposed changes. Access the Discussion Paper on Expanding Complying Development at the NSW Government web site for more information.
If you have questions about the changes or would like to discuss any concerns please feel free to contact one of our staff to discuss how Barker Ryan Stewart can assist with preparation of a submission on this important topic.
