The South East Queensland office was seen as a vital addition to our Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter offices in order to expand the companies reach into the thriving South East Queensland market as well as service our existing clients in the Northern NSW region.
Chris Borg will be managing our new office in sunny Broadbeach. He has more than 9 years’ experience as a Development Engineer and Construction Engineer in local government, as well as a Construction Supervisor and Structural Engineer within the private sector.
The Queensland Government expects the population in South East Queensland to nearly double to 5.3 million in the next 25 years, creating a need for more than 30,000 new dwellings each year between now and then. With this increase in population, there is an expectation that additional State infrastructure will be provided as well as existing infrastructure upgrades and the construction of many kilometres of local road and drainage. These development works will involve town planning, civil engineering design and subdivision and strata certification, RMS verification, surveying and traffic engineering – just some of the services provided at the Barker Ryan Stewart South East Queensland Office.
As well as aiming to assist in the growth of the South East Queensland region, we look to fill the gap that currently exists in the provision of certification services from the Mid-North Coast of NSW to the QLD border.
To date we have provided a number of services in the Northern NSW region including construction and compliance certificate assessments for the Casuarina Health Retreat and Seaside Estate Stages 1 & 2 in Kingscliffe, town planning for education institutes such as Byron Bay Public School and NSW TAFE Ballina Campus, strata certification services in the Northern Rivers area and have worked with Byron Shire Council to provide development engineering assessment for development applications.
