Earlier this year, we expanded our service offering in Queensland to include urban planning, civil engineering, and project management. Now, the opening of our North Queensland office allows us to continue providing better outcomes for our client’s projects across the state.

Our Expansion into North Queensland
The establishment of a North Queensland office came to fruition under the guidance of Ansie Joubert, Barker Ryan Stewart’s Senior Design Engineer based in Townsville.
With over a decade of experience in the consulting industry, Ansie has acted as the Project Design Lead for a range of infrastructure projects including the design of new roads, bulk earthworks and services, and detail site design.

To support this expected growth, all three levels of government collaborated to implement the Townsville City Deal, a 15-year commitment set to revitalise Townsville through investment in local infrastructure, economic growth, industry activation, job creation and city revitalisation.
The city is already home to established industries such as defence, agriculture and resources, providing ongoing opportunities for expansion. Additionally, Townsville is in a unique position to capitalise on emerging sectors including the production and export of renewable energy.
