BRS would like to congratulate all of the national finalists in this year’s Innovation & Excellence Awards managed by the Property Council of Australia. 

Established in 1982, the prestigious National Innovation & Excellence Awards recognises and celebrates leading practice in the property industry. 

We are proud to have provided our services on numerous projects which have been recognised as finalists within a variety of categories this year. We would like to congratulate our clients on their outstanding achievements.  

Harold Park  

Harold Park by Mirvac was a Best Residential Development and Best Mixed Use Development finalist. 

Closely located to the Sydney CBD, Harold Park offers 1,300 new residences located in buildings ranging from three to eight stories. It also includes the redevelopment of the historic Rozelle Tramway Depot into a thriving communal hub known as Tramsheds, which offers a variety of food vendors, retail outlets, living spaces, and area for artisans and educators. 

BRS provided subdivision certification services including issuing Compliance Certificates and conducting site inspections associated with the subdivision works and Tramsheds development. BRS also provided initial town planning services to the City of Sydney to relocate the historic trams from the site in preparation for the redevelopment phase.

Lighthouse, Dee Why 

Lighthouse by Meriton was a Best Mixed Use Development finalist. 

Located in the heart of Dee Why, this residential development consists of 4 buildings and 2 towers rising 17 storeys high. It comprises of 351 apartments, ample parking, and a large retail and commercial precinct. This precinct will include a Woolworths supermarket and other speciality stores, numerous restaurants and eateries, and a childcare facility. 

BRS provided certification services for the staged strata subdivision of the site. This included the certification of the strata development contract and the strata certificates for the residential components of the four buildings that comprise the development.

Evolution Charity Cup 2020

The Evolution Charity Cup was held on Friday the 6th of March at Dixon Park Beach in conjunction with Surfest. The event was run by the Mark Hughes Foundation to help raise money for brain cancer research, heighten awareness, and support brain cancer patients and their families.

The corporate tag-team style surfing competition
included 17-teams of four surfers from local Newcastle businesses. Our team was
made up of Joe Myson, Ben Miller, Peter McCallum and Nick Whitton.

The Evolution Charity Cup provided a great opportunity for our team to compete against some pro-surfers, network with the other local businesses, and most importantly be part of the team effort of fundraising. With the help of our supporters, we raised over $1,700 to go towards the Foundation.

We would like to congratulate the Lake Macquarie
City Council Lifeguards for defending their title and winning the competition
again this year, and to KCE for taking out the fundraising challenge.

We would also like to thank everyone who donated
to this worthy cause, as each donation goes a long way in helping to support
those affected by brain cancer.
